Macaron mmmmmm

I think everyone who has been to France has had a memorable macaron.  My most memorable one was at Gare du Nord waiting for a train to Brussels. I was starving and got the biggest raspberry macaron I had ever seen. It was huge and delicious. I sauvered it the whole two hours to Brussels.
Everyone has their favorite places for their favorite treats. Macarons are pretty fun to make too. It’s fun to experiment with different flavors combinations.

The macarons in this picture were purchased at Trader Joe’s (Trader Jacque’s brand). I have to say Trader Joe’s imports some great French products. I’ll get into more of their stuff later. As far as sweets go, my favorites are the macarons and the canelés (cannelés) de Bordeaux.
Soon I will be making macarons and canelés.
